daughter of Wm. Holmes was buried in the catholic cemetery.

January 15, 1880, Timothy Shanahan to Mary Dowling.
- Source: Delavan Republican? April 5, 1956. Died: Miss Ida Shanahan (age 84) Monday at
Lakeland Hospital following a long illness. Born October 1872 at Richmond, Wisconsin and
came to Delavan when a child. She owned and operated a rooming house for many years.
Member of St. Andrew's, service same, buried in church cemetery. Survived by a brother,
John E., of Delavan.

Saturday. Nee Florence Augustus Shanahan born 1-30-1896 at Delavan, the daughter of
Cornellius and Bertha Shanahan. She lived all her life in the Delavan area. Member of
Evangelical Lutheran Ladies Aid and birthday club. Survived by her husband, three
daughters; Mrs. Dorothy Tolokuhn, Mrs. Gladys Tucker of Delavan, Mrs. Mariam Gates of
Crete, Illinois, two sons, Robert and Don of Delavan, two brothers, Earl of Elkhorn,
Harold of Burlington and nine grandchildren. Services at Evangelical Lutheran church.
Buried at Spring Grove Cemetery.
- On the death registration for Neil Shannahan the informant was James Dowling. The cause
of death was cirossis of liver, 9 months, other contributory factors were prostratic
hypertrophy duration 1 year, operation May 17, 1950. Residence at time of death was 3275
S. 5th St., Delavan.
