November 5, 1925? Killed Dewey Atkinson, 26, accident Sunday morning on Hwy 12, 6 miles north of Elkhorn, near Wandawega Park. Injured Helen Knoll of East Troy. In another car were Mrs. Wm. Hill of Burlington, Mr. Hill and daughter, Miss Margaret and another unnamed occupant slightly injured. Atkinson was operating without lights in dark. A passing motorist stopped, lit a match to view license plate on Deweys auto, car exploded and destroyed.

Delavan Lake home Friday, October 2, 1925 after lingering illness. Mary F. Holmes was born in Darien, Wisconsin
December 8, 1878 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Holmes. All her life spent in Walworth County except
for short time prior to her married to James Dowling in Chicago, September 24, 1901. She leaves husband, sister, Mrs. William Moore,
also a niece, Mrs. Earl Finley, all of this city. Pall
bearers B. L. Jones, R. H. Sage, Arthur Flynn, Wilbur Lynch, Frank Cowan of Chicago and
James H. Murphy of Burlington. Among those
from distance attending were Mr. And Mrs. Dan Callahan, Mr. And Mrs. Frank Cowan, Chicago,
and Miss Mary Dowling, Milwaukee.

at Harvey, Illinois. He was the son of Mr.
And Mrs. Thomas Holmes and his death occurred Sunday.
The funeral was held here Tuesday afternoon.
